Bookavore For Writers, Agents, PR people, & Publishers

Bookavore is a great way to reach readers.

Unlike other book discovery sites that focus on the splashy bestsellers, Bookavore specializes in books by debut authors & midlist authors that haven't had the benefit of a huge media push. By focusing on no more than 30 books in any category and always having fresh content, we will always be providing readers with awesome new stuff.

What do I need to do to get listed?
A listing requires at a minimum: Cover Art, cover copy, and the first 3 pages (750 words) of story.
Optionally you may include: Link to a review or Link to an author website or social media.

Life Cycle of a Book on Bookavore:
3 weeks before release date the book goes up in the In the Oven section. On it's release date it goes to the HOT & Fresh section, where it stays for 3 weeks. Then it gets 3 weeks in the On the Table section. Each book gets 9 weeks of total exposure.

Why Bookavore?
Bookavore is meant to simulate a comfortable day at the bookstore. The customer can browse the "shelves", check the back of the book, read a few pages and then buy the book. There is a lot of opportunity for social media sharing... without any of the pitfalls of a forum board. Fewer opportunities for internet trolling!

Who will be represented?
Traditionally & Indie published books are welcome at Bookavore *but* the minimum requirements (see What Do I Need To Get Listed?) must be met. Because Bookavore relies on the visuals of browsing a "shelf" priority will be given to books with professional appearing book covers.

How will Bookavore Reach Readers?
We are using a multi-pronged approached to reaching readers. First, we are partnering with book bloggers to create community. We are also going to do targeted ads on reader websites to build visibility. The hope is to go to book-centric, reader focused events to introduce the concept directly to readers. We are looking into ways to reach out to online book clubs and reader communities in ways that are mutually beneficial.

Who will you sell through?
Indiebound, Barnes & Noble,  Smashwords & Amazon.
